Gaia gave him control over water, wind, fire, earth, and the creatures that inhabit them. She also gave him superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and resistance to physical damage. As Victor calls out the name of the goddess, he morphs into Captain Wonder, Champion of Gaia. It is to be noted that while Victor Roberts' body ages at a normal rate, the Captain's body appears to be immune to the passage of time.
