HISTORY

Wilhelm Von Schmachenburg was a high ranked SS officer who committed suicide instead of being captured by the Allies. Unfortunately, a scientist loyal to the Third Reich named Dr. Walther Jansen built a powerful robot imprinted with Von Schmachenburg's brain patterns. When Jansen completed the job, Von Schmachenburg felt that he no longer needed the doctor and killed him. Then Cerebex set out to create an army of mechanoids with which he planned to invade the United States. He was stopped by Mary Smith, the daughter of Von Schmachenburg, who had a psychic link with Cerebex, due to the experiments performed on her by her father (he intended to transfer his consciousness to her body), with the help of Bud Par (aka Wonder Man).

POWERS & WEAPONS

Cerebex possessed the military intelligence of Von Schmachenburg, but had a synthetic brain 1000 times more powerful. The Cerebex Matrix (Cerebex initial form) was about 30 feet tall, but it had the ability to grow and update at an exponential rate. Before being stopped he reached 500 feet in height. He was also capable of building an army of robot drones (mechanoids). Some mechanoids could reach 50 feet in height and were capable of flight. The Cerebex Matrix generally hovered about 50 feet above the ground, although it possessed the ability to fly at higher altitudes and apparently could also break the sound barrier without major problems. The Cerebex Matrix was armed with six tentacles of steel-impervium alloy (3 on each side of its frame). At first these tentacles were strong enough to crush a man to death, but they soon proved capable of lifting and crushing a car, traversing a fighter plane on flight, or bringing down a skyscraper. In addition to his tentacles, Cerebex developed other weapons:

He had the ability to project a force field that protected him from ballistic attacks. He also had some kind of electromagnetic weapon, possibly an EMP device, with which he could disable other nearby machines.

Cerebex's only weak point was his artificial brain, which was covered by a ballistic glass dome. Once inside the dome, it was possible to damage the huge synthetic brain enough to put it out of business, at least temporarily...
