Samson (meaning "man of the sun" in hebrew) was given supernatural strength by Jehovah in order to combat his enemies and perform incredible feats such as killing a lion with his bare hands, defeating an entire army with only the jawbone of a donkey or destroying the temple of Dagon. Samson had two vulnerabilities, however: his attraction to untrustworthy women and his hair, without which he was powerless. These vulnerabilities ultimately proved fatal for him...

Samson has immense strength and endurance but loses his powers if his hair is cut. However, the fact that his hair grew back much faster than normal made up for that weakness.
