Karl Von Münster was a German-American scientist and a prominent member of the pro-Nazi organization Friends of New Germany. Von Münster had his laboratory in a large mansion facing the Great Lakes. There he experimented with 200 kidnapped children to create an army with which to take control of the United States in case the country took sides against Germany in the war. He accelerated the growth of the captive children, brainwashing them and supplying them with a drug that increased their strength and endurance to superhuman levels. He equipped each one of them with a specially coated shield and helmet to withstand the weapons that would be used against them. However, one of them, #40, managed to overcome the brainwashing and rebelled. Von Münster ordered his elimination and after a skirmish, he was presumed dead. John "Old Glory" Courtney, a veteran of the Great War and his son Jimmy found Number 40, and managed to identify him as Martin Benson, a missing child. The trio miraculously managed to defeat Von Münster's army of supersoldiers. Then Von Monster injected himself, restoring his youth and gaining superhuman strength similar to that of his men. After dueling with Number 40, Von Monster fell into the Mississippi River, where he was last seen, though his body was never recovered.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Von Monster was a very remarkable scientist, albeit with very few scruples. He was very well financed thanks to his vast family inheritance. He managed to create a small army of brainwashed super-soldiers who (with the exception of Number 40) blindly executed his every command. He himself became superhuman by injecting himself with the same drug he had used on his pawns.
