HISTORY 

Jeff Weston was not born with green, warty skin, webbed hands and feet, and the ability to make superhuman leaps. Jeff Weston was a brilliant but unscrupulous scientist who played God by manipulating his own DNA. The move did not go exactly as he had planned: Yes, he gained a good part of the abilities of an amphibian, but the negative side was that his physical appearance was no longer human. He became a freak, an angry monster. He became the Toad. With his new appearance it was difficult to get funding to continue his experiments, so Weston, using his creativity, became a blackmailer, terrorist and rented his superior scientific mind to anyone (the mafia, drug cartels, Islamists, communists, Nazis... ANYONE) in exchange for large sums of money. Although he did not mind that his enemies called him Toad and feared him, he insisted that his men call him by his real name, Weston. And the Toad did not hesitate to kill anyone who said something he did not approve of... Many have already paid that price. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

After his mutation, Weston has shown the following paranormal abilities: He possesses superhuman strength, particularly in his back and legs, which gives him a jumping capacity far superior to that of a normal human (about 25 feet in a vertical jump and 37 feet in a long jump). His bone structure allows him great flexibility, making him capable of performing contortionist-type feats without suffering any damage. His stamina, body balance, reflexes and coordination are beyond the limits of the human body. His body is tougher and more resistant to physical injuries. He possesses an enhanced healing factor and is able to heal serious injuries in a matter of days and has even shown that he is capable of regenerating severed parts. He has the ability to extend his tongue (like the animal of his nickname) and use it to catch objects and/or people. His tongue is incredibly strong, capable of lifting and strangling a normal man to death. His skin secretes a fluid similar to bufotoxin. The effects produced by this toxin are similar to those of mild poisoning, and include hallucinations. The effect lasts approximately one hour. Prolonged exposure could cause serious harm or even death. He has no formal knowledge of hand-to-hand combat. Despite so, his superhuman agility combined with his powerful legs make him a formidable opponent. The Toad was a truly brilliant scientist, both as an engineer and a biologist. He himself designed a sonic wave machine with great destructive capacity, for example.
