HISTORY

Originally designed for use by the United States Army. The prototype was stolen by a criminal organization called the Black League, which through reverse engineering was able to replicate the Robo-Tank technology. Nowadays it is relatively easy to find one of these devices. The army uses them. Some police forces use them. And of course criminals use them. In fact, the only reason they are not used more often is because of their prohibitive price (the unit costs about 40 million dollars in round numbers) and their bulkiness (they are difficult to transport and store). There are dozens of models adapted from the original prototype, with additions and/or variations of all kinds.

POWERS & WEAPONS

The basic model of the Robo-Tank is essentially a magnified and partially robotic suit of armor. The torso and head are a small compartment with capacity for a pilot and a co-pilot, although with the improvements in AI, most of the more recently built units are single-seaters. It is very heavily armored, especially the pilot's compartment. The limbs are completely robotic and possess inhuman strength. The prototype had flamethrowers on the upper extremities as basic weaponry. In that aspect the Robo-Tank is tremendously versatile. A unit can be equipped with machine guns, rocket launchers, plasma cannons, and almost any other weaponry one can imagine. They can be adapted to operate in any terrain, including underwater environments. The models with flight capacity are the rarest, since they double the price of manufacturing and maintenance.
