Thomas Dash was a decorated elite soldier who was recruited by the CIA, for which he began conducting covert operations around the world. Unfortunately, his wife became seriously ill and died a short time later. So Tom left the CIA to take care of his daughter, Lola. He also took over the business his late wife ran, a modest antiques shop. But tragedy seemed hell-bent on following in his footsteps, as Lola was shot to death in the crossfire of a mob grudge match. The NYPD seemed unable to end the reign of organized gangs, and Tom vowed to avenge his daughter's death and rid the city of criminal scum. Dash sold his store and his house and vanished for a year. When he reappeared, he did so as a deadly vigilante, setting up traps for criminals so he could shoot them dead. Thus he came to end the life of Old Dutch, one of the great bosses of organized crime and the person most responsible for the death of his daughter. The Avenger is in exceptional physical condition. He is a combat veteran well versed in multiple forms of armed and unarmed fighting (Muay Thai and Jiujitsu mainly). His arsenal of weapons includes various automatic and semi-automatic rifles, a variety of pistols, explosives, and combat knives. Dash is ambidextrous and an elite sniper. He is capable of piloting helicopters and airplanes. He also has great skill as an interrogator and is a great strategist.
