In 1904, Irma Plavatski was a beautiful Russian aristocrat who claimed to be periodically possessed by an evil entity. Despite the disbelief of those around her, the young woman's statement was chillingly true:
A demonic being named Dazaar the Arch-Fiend had chosen her as one of her host bodies. Dazaar had possessed seven other bodies, but ultimately decided to make Irma his permanent vessel. Dazaar formed his own satanic organization, The Great Black Lodge, bent on taking over the world. The Great Black Lodge battled various masked heroes over the decades, but both the organization and its head have proven extremely difficult to defeat, at least in a definitive way.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Dazaar possessed enormous mystical powers. Among many other abilities, he was able to take over the bodies of others, or hypnotize men and women into acting against their will. The Arch-Fiend was capable of maintaining the youth of his host indefinitely by unnatural and arcane means. Dazaar also commanded a worldwide network of satanic fanatics.
