During World War II, Captain Robert Bryten, a British pilot, was shot down over France and forced to hide in Dr. LaForge's castle. LaForge was a scientist and Resistance leader with a passion for ancient history, who had designed a futuristic armor inspired by the legend of Roland and The 12 Peers. The germans tracked Captain Bryten to his castle and shot Doctor LaForge. Bryten found the armor designed by LaForge and using it, he annihilated the German soldiers who had occupied the castle. With his last words, LaForge asked Bryten to liberate France and told him that his "Veillantif" was waiting for him in the cellar of the castle, and he passed away immediately. Captain Bryten granted the Doctor's last wish and discovered that his "Veillantif" was nothing more than a futuristic fighter plane. Clad in his armor and "on the back" of Veillantif, he took to the skies, becoming the terror of the Nazis and a hero to the Resistance, their "Iron Ace".
POWERS & WEAPONS
Bryten had no superpowers, but Dr. LaForge's armor was bulletproof and gave him some level of superhuman strength. In addition to the armor, Laforge also created an electric sword, "Durendal", and a bulletproof aircraft, "Veillantif". Captain Bryten was an air ace and a skilled fighter and swordsman.
