HISTORY

The Crusader from Mars was a law enforcement officer for the Supreme Council, the ruling body of Mars. The Council was concerned that humanity would start an atomic war and decided to send Lars to Earth as a peacekeeping agent. Ironically, due to a mistake upon his arrival on Earth, Lars ended up working as an actor for the TV producer June Conway, on her hit show, 'The Man from Mars'. From that point on, he worked as the lead actor under the identity of Allen Anderson and fought the forces of evil in his spare time as the Crusader from Mars. That included criminals, soviet agents, and all manner of criminals.

POWERS & WEAPONS

Lars was an athletic man skilled in fighting with all kind of weapons and his own hands. Like other Martians, he possessed an extremely resilient physiology, specially adapted to survive even in the harsh conditions of the red planet. Lars had telepathic abilities, however it is unclear if those abilities are common to all Martians. His suit allowed him to survive the space vacuum and included a rocket pack, telescopic goggles, microphones that could pick up sounds thousands of miles away, and a two-way communicator that allowed him to receive alerts from his superiors and intercept Earth-based radio signals. His rocket pack allowed him to "space warp" teleportation. Lars' "power-ray" pistol could function as a heat beam, a freeze beam, or a tractor beam. The power of the heat beam could adjust its intensity, from disarming opponents to blowing up a huge factory. In addition, Lars used martian equipment that he had installed in his attic. This included a two-way telecom and a device that amplified his telepathic abilities.
