The story of Pascal Turgot, alias the Puppeteer, began in France during the 16th Century. Turgot was a regular at the French court, delighting the nobles with his puppets. However, this apparently innocent entertainment hid a sinister secret: Turgot was able to animate his puppets (the Strangler, the Courtier, the Executioner and the Witch) and used them as his personal assassins. A young woman, Jeanne Saint-Moritz, was fascinated by the realism of the puppets. Turgot mistook the girl's fascination for romantic attraction, and infatuated, tried to possess her, but the girl rejected him. Disgruntled, the puppeteer threw his creatures against Jeanne, who desperately screamed for help. Pierre, her brother, came to her rescue, managing to set fire to the puppets. An enraged Turgot lunged at him, saber in hand, but Pierre turned and the puppeteer perished as he fell on the edge of his own weapon. Somehow, however, Turgot's life force prevailed and he managed to rebuild the Killer Puppets from the ashes. Once again he reanimated his puppets and used them to fulfill his depraved wishes through the centuries. Until now...
