Quorak was a brilliant but megalomaniac scientist, seeking ultimate power. He was originally from Earth (in the 37th century), but lived on his own planetoid (Spectremus), which was extremely rich in a rare radioactive material, Lodium, with which the evil genius fed his devices. Quorak designed and built a massive and powerful magnetic cannon which he used to blackmail the Confederate Planets, threatening to destroy Pluto if the Confederates did not meet his demands.
As a demonstration, Quorak made a first strike that wiped out Pluto's colonies, partially knocking the dwarf planet out of its orbit.
The Confederacy mobilized the Space Patrol Fleet to help the survivors, and the Interspace Justice Syndicate to stop the genocide.
After a bloody battle on Spectremus, the Syndicate defeated the villain, who was taken to Urbania, the capital of the Confederacy, to stand trial for his crimes.
POWERS & WEAPONS
In addition to the Lodium-powered super-magnetic cannon, Quorak also possessed a number of high-tech weapons, including an energy staff capable of generating a stasis beam that could levitate people, among other effects. Spectremus was a planetoid, but it had been modified by Quorak and basically functioned as a massive space battle station.
