Robert Wood was a professional criminal, thief, hit-man and mercenary. One of his heists didn't go well and he was imprisoned. Wood carefully planned his escape, murdering another inmate and disfiguring him, making impossible to identify him. For the authorities he had died and the other prisoner was a fugitive. Wood decided to take advantage of the opportunity to turn his criminal career around. He acquired special equipment on the black market and created a new masked identity, the Rattler, inspired by his fondness for snakes. The hit-man quickly gained fame, thanks to his scaly suit, his snake mask and his personal touch: murder with snake venom. As usually happens with these guys, everything was fine until he had to deal with the paranormal heroes.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Rattler possessed no paranormal abilities of his own, but his combat suit was equipped with weaponry and provided him with a degree of protection from injury thanks to its micromesh chain mail. The suit included special gauntlets armed with snake venom injectors, among many other things, such as pepper spray, sleeping gas, an electric taser, a pneumatically fired grappling line to traverse roofs, as well as an extendable computer tap. The suit also has a special system that uses static electricity to stick to walls to climb them. The Rattler is an experienced and above-average fighter, capable of taking out a SWAT team without breaking a sweat.
