Satan was originally Juan de Santervás, Count of Monzón, a 15th century Spanish explorer searching for the legendary Fountain of Youth in the unexplored lands of the New World. He finally found it and drank from it, only to discover, to his horror, that the water transformed him into a demonic-looking creature. He went crazy to such a point that he became a true demon, full of deep hatred and resentment towards any type of religious representation that led him to commit the most atrocious crimes. But deep down in his tortured psyche his greatest desire was for someone to kill him, thus ending his miserable existence. At the beginning of World War II, he allied with Adolf Hitler to bring the Allies to its knees. However, towards the end of the war, Juan de Santervás' personality began to emerge little by little, beginning the long and hard road to redemption.
