Cole Jacobs is the son of the original Grasshopper, a petty criminal who gained the proportional strength, agility and reflexes of the animal from which he took his name.
Cole's father never took care of him or his mother, who raised him as she could, completely on her own. Although the boy was good-hearted, he began to get into trouble. Things didn't get any better when his Grasshopper skills developed. Cole started using his powers to steal, already disguised as the Grasshopper.
As a result of one of his blows, an innocent died and Cole decided to turn his life around, becoming a hero, and even part of the Fixers.
