HISTORY

Professor Maurice Warren, also known as Professor Supermind, created the Super Machine which he later used to give his son, Dan, superhuman powers. The professor and his son fought crime and the threat of the Third Reich using their inventions and Dan's superpowers. But the horrors of the war caused Dan to become more extreme in his approach, deciding that in order to save the world he must control it. The professor objected, they argued, and in a tragic outcome of the events, he was crippled, paralyzed from the waist down. However, his mind was still intact and full of determination to prevent Dan (now Vortex) from taking world power. Using the S.M.A.R.T. device he created, the professor assembled a team, The Atomic Squad, to help him stop Vortex's plans. Since then, father and son have been waging a secret war with the world as the ultimate prize.

Which side are you on?

POWERS & WEAPONS

Professor Supermind possesses an extremely advanced intellect, being an unrivaled genius in multiple disciplines (neurology, electronics, genetics, mechanics, etc.). Among many other inventions, Professor Warren designed and built the S-Machine, which grants incredible powers to those who use it, or the S.M.A.R.T. device (Sensory and Mental Amplifier-Receiver-Transmitter), with which he is able to find and mentally communicate with anyone on the planet. Additionally, Professor Supermind was born in the 19th century, so presumably he found some way to prolong his life beyond the conventional (paradoxically it does not seem that he has had such good results with his paralysis problem).
