Fred Drake was a member of a trio of circus acrobats called The Flying Apollos, but his teammates were killed. Drake decided to investigate the crime on his own, adopting the masked identity of "The Stuntman". Fred was aided by the famous actor (and amateur sleuth) Don Daring and his girlfriend, also an actress, Sandra Sylvan. After solving the case, Fred was hired by Daring to become his stunt double and bodyguard. In addition, Fred continued to fight crime as The Stuntman. Some time later, Drake met the love of his life, professional wrestler Daphne 'Daffy' Dill. Drake stopped being Don Daring's stunt double and joined Daffy in their own show in which they combined the different disciplines they dominated. The duet was a huge success and they were soon married in Las Vegas. Since then, the couple has shared married life, the world of entertainment and the fight against crime.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Drake didn't have superpowers, but he was an exceptional acrobat and had learned other disciplines during his time at the Bandmaster Circus: Riding, roping, knife throwing, illusionism, hypnotism, judo and many others, excelling in all of them. Fred also had the "Stuntmobile" and was a more than decent detective.
