HISTORY 

Nicholas Terry was a young man whose parents were murdered. Seeking revenge, Nick enlisted in the FBI, where he was trained to become a special agent, but he soon became frustrated due to regulations that seemed to hinder the functioning of law enforcement. Then he went one step further, using the family fortune and with the help of his Chinese butler, Soto, he designed a costume and armed himself with high-tech gadgets, transforming himself into the Owl. Belle Wayne, the Morning Eagle's star reporter, discovered the Owl's true identity and became Nick's girlfriend and the Owl's companion under the nickname Miss Owl.

Terry did not have paranormal abilities, but thanks to the money inherited from his parents he was able to afford the most advanced equipment for his personal crusade. His Owlmobile could fly, his cape worked as a parachute, and among his gadgets was a "black light", which worked like a flashlight but in reverse, projecting darkness instead of light.

HISTORY 

Simon Binder was a young taxi driver in NYC who had great driving skills. His driving skills caught the attention of Mr. Chandra Swamy, an eccentric millionaire who enjoyed building racing cars. Mr. Swamy's best racing car, the Silver Streak, became a target for someone or something, because every time someone drove it, that person was killed. Because of this added danger no one wanted to pilot it, except Simon. Unfortunately, as expected, he was also murdered, but Mr. Swamy managed to bring him back to life thanks to a "secret fluid." His resurrection had an unexpected side effect: Simon Binder gained the paranormal ability to move at superhuman speed. This is how Simon Binder, taking the name of the prototype (Silver Streak) became a costumed hero. 

Note: Silver Streak's powers can be transferred to others through blood transfusions. This was how his teenage sidekick, Mickey O'Toole AKA Meteor Boy, received his powers.

HISTORY 

Prince Falkar is the crown prince of an extraterrestrial race of winged men. Falkar was betrayed by his right-hand man (Lomar) and the one who was destined to be his consort (Princess Abbie), who murdered the King (Falkar's father) and forced him to escape from his own kingdom, becoming a interplanetary exile. This is how Falkar arrived on Earth, where he would become a hero and joining forces with other paranormal heroes they would form the team called the Crime Smashers, waiting for the day when he could return to his kingdom in space to claim his father's throne. and do justice in his name.

The Hawk People of the Planet Malaj possess several gifts that distinguish them from normal humans, such as enhanced senses, increased durability, increased stamina and resistance to pain, increased strength, and a significantly longer lifespan than a normal human. (about three times more than the average human). Although the most significant (and obvious) are the two large wings (similar to those of the Earth birds) that they possess and that help them move with great speed and maneuverability through the skies. Falkar is an expert in hand-to-hand combat and a master in the use of the sword. So great is his skill with this noble weapon, that he is able to use it to defeat an enemy without killing him.

HISTORY 

The life of 14-year-old boy Bobby Sanders changed forever the day a tornado hit his hometown of Windy Gap and leveled the family farm, leaving Bobby the only survivor with no memory of anything that happened*. Little by little he began to develop strange powers that frightened his fellow citizens. With nothing and no one to tie him to that place, young Bob dedicated himself to traveling from state to state, learning to use his new skills and helping everyone in need. HISTORY 

The Shape was originally an artificial life form created by Professor Scuba by exposing a protoplasmic mass made of special chemicals to an ultraionized hyperluminic beam. However, it was Kevin Boyd, Scuba's careless laboratory assistant, who accidentally caused that protoplasm to gain consciousness. At first his mind was similar to that of a small child, but he soon evolved into a crazy teenager, perhaps because of the bond created with young Boyd. Together they lived many adventures and The Shape became part of the Crime Smashers, the most famous team of paranormal heroes. Using his ability to change shape and appearance, the Shape was able to create an alter-ego, Roy Richards, private investigator. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

The Shape's powers derive from his physiology, being an artificial life form created by Professor Scuba. The Shape possesses complete control over its physical structure, being able to alter its mass and constitution at will. There seems to be no limit to the sizes and shapes he can take. The only limitation he has concerns color, which he cannot change without intense concentration, so he generally sticks to his basic scheme (black, yellow and white, plus his artificial skin tone). His artificial body appears to be immune to most physical impacts, except for sudden changes in temperature, ultrasonic waves, and solvents, but in no case is the damage caused permanent. Their body mass can disperse, but it tends to recompose and regenerate more or less quickly, depending on the severity of the damage. Being an artificial being, he does not age either and has little vulnerability to psychic attacks.

HISTORY 

Fred Drake was a member of a trio of circus acrobats called The Flying Apollos, but his teammates were killed. Drake decided to investigate the crime on his own, adopting the masked identity of "The Stuntman". Fred was aided by the famous actor (and amateur sleuth) Don Daring and his girlfriend, also an actress, Sandra Sylvan. After solving the case, Fred was hired by Daring to become his stunt double and bodyguard. In addition, Fred continued to fight crime as The Stuntman. Some time later, Drake met the love of his life, professional wrestler Daphne 'Daffy' Dill. Drake stopped being Don Daring's stunt double and joined Daffy in their own show in which they combined the different disciplines they dominated. The duet was a huge success and they were soon married in Las Vegas. Since then, the couple has shared married life, the world of entertainment and the fight against crime.

Drake didn't have superpowers, but he was an exceptional acrobat and had learned other disciplines during his time at the Bandmaster Circus: Riding, roping, knife throwing, illusionism, hypnotism, judo and many others, excelling in all of them. Rick Knapp was a young scientist who was the victim of an accidental explosion while working in the laboratory. His body was engulfed in a strange blue flame that did not burn him or his clothes, but gave him power beyond imagination. Knapp decided to use his newly acquired special abilities to fight crime as the Blue Fire. He is a member of the Crime Smashers.

The blue fire envelops Rick, protecting him from harm and granting him abilities such as flight or becoming intangible. Over time, Rick discovered that he could manipulate the flame with his willpower, giving it multiple uses. 

However, after continued effort, the flame's effects wear off and Rick must rest to recharge his powers.

HISTORY

Barry Dale was a scientist who worked at the Atomic Institute. The unconscious exposure to radioactive materials, instead of giving him cancer as one might expect, awakened his Gen-0 and, as a result, he gained superpowers. 

"Obviously my body is so overloaded with radiation as a result of working with radium and uranium that it can explode atoms and give me atomic force."

Barry thought that perhaps he could be the first of a new race of humans that would come in the nascent Atomic Age, although time proved that this was not exactly the case. Regardless, Dale decided to use his new crime-fighting skills and quickly donned a superhero costume and set out to right wrongs.

Barry's powers included super strength, invulnerability, and the ability to fly. Furthermore, he had "atomic vision" (telescopic / microscopic / thermal vision), and could heat his body to the point where he could weld metal with his bare hands. HISTORY

Bartholomew Kudasiewizc (Barry Kuda for short) was an adventurer from the United States, eventually becoming the champion of the underwater kingdom of Mermea, protecting it from both its hostile neighbors and incursions by people from the surface. He and his young friend Algernon "Algie" Kelp were draggeded into a whirlpool and swept to Mermea, where they underwent special treatment that gave them the ability to survive in the deep sea. Barry married Queen Merma and Algie, initially wishing to return to the United States, changed his mind when he met Maureen, Queen Mermea's protégé. Barry joined the Crime Smashers but always having as priority the affairs of the Underwater Kingdom of Mermea.

HISTORY 

Lucille Martin, an adventurous novelist, was returning by boat from a vacation in China when she met an elegant Chinese maiden named Lotus who was on her way to San Francisco. Her master tasked Lotus with delivering a valuable jade idol to a Chinatown address and she asked Lucille to keep it for her as she feared it would be stolen. In case there were problems, Lucille was to deliver the package. The woman also gave her a ring in the shape of a blue bird (the Qingniao Ring) which is said to grant its wearer the ability to "see things no one else can see, and do things no one else can." The maid was soon killed and thrown overboard by thugs looking for the idol. Failing to find Lotus, Lucille visited her room and, finding it disordered, she hid the idol for the rest of the trip. Back in the United States, while she was in her room, she began to examine the Qingniao Ring, but she was overwhelmed by a mysterious wave of well-being and lost consciousness. Upon waking up, she felt so sure and confident of accomplishing her mission that she dressed up in a costume and presented herself at the appointed address in Chinatown, and after a successful confrontation with some thugs, the jade idol was finally delivered to its recipient. That was the origin of the Blue Bird. Then came the Crime Smashers.

The Qingniao Ring has the power to stimulate the pleasure centers of the brain of the people around its wearer, producing a feeling of great well-being. The user (Lucille in this case) perceives that power as an incredible boost in her own confidence, her senses sharpen and she becomes more aware of everything around her. By concentrating, she was able to magnify these vibrations, causing extreme arousal, euphoria, or intoxication in one or more of the beings around her.

HISTORY 

Charles "Clip" Foster was a heavyweight champion contender. Billy Banks, a gangster, offered him money in exchange for being knocked out in the title fight, but Clip, ignoring the offer, beat his opponent and was crowned world heavyweight champion. His father, Dr. Maximilian Foster was a scientist working on an astonishing invention: a device capable of shrinking people to the size of insects. Clip volunteered as an experimental subject to test the machine, shrinking to the size of a fly. The strain of the change left him unconscious but stable. However, just then, gangsters led by Banks burst into the lab looking for Clip. Not finding him, they killed the old man and set fire to the lab. The fire woke Clip, who managed to escape, albeit horribly disfigured by the flames. Fortunately, the young Foster, despite being the size of a fly, had maintained his original strength, so swearing to avenge his father, he took a uniform that his father had designed for him and calling himself "The Fly", he set out to hunt down Banks and his minions. Since then, Clip has dedicated his life to fighting crime in honor of his father. The Fly is a member of the Crime Smashers.

Charles Foster was a physical wonder, a true heavyweight champion. But Clip was much more than just a bunch of muscles, Clip had also inherited his father's intellect and was a brilliant scientist himself. The shrinking machine compressed most of his body mass, making him tiny, but tremendously strong and resistant. His Fly suit, designed by his father, was amazing. The fabric was flame retardant and highly resistant to damage. It included a cape that could become rigid in free fall, acting like a paraglider. But the most important thing is that Dr. Maximilian Foster had hidden the key to reverting to normal human size in Clip's uniform.

HISTORY 

Simon Fisher was the son of a renowned and wealthy surgeon. Simon studied medicine, but preferred to pursue archery. 

In 1950 the Korean War broke out and Simon joined the US Marine Corps. Back home, Fisher found that his father had been murdered and, following in the footsteps of the legendary Robyn Hode, he became a hooded vigilante (The Hood) to avenge his father. His butler, Tucker, is his main ally on his personal crusade. As the Hood, Fisher used his skill with the bow to foil robberies and apprehend criminals and murderers. Simon would eventually team up with young Billy Lackington, aka Robyn. Simon joined the Crime Smashers while young Billy joined the Tyro Team. Lucille Martin (aka Blue Bird), a fellow member of the Crime Smashers, used all her weapons of seduction to win over the most eligible bachelor in New York City. And she did it!
