HISTORY

John Perry worked for the Daily Clarion as a gossip columnist and in his spare time he wrote crime articles. To get more direct information, Perry decided to disguise himself and go out to investigate as Black Fury. John adopted Chuck Manley, the son of a murdered cop, who eventually became his sidekick, Blackie the Teenager Fury (aka Kid Fury). Both, John and Chuck, joined the Fighting Force.

HISTORY  

Sean Garnett, a rookie cop with the Fox City Police Department, was clearly a good man. In fact, he was so good that the eccentric scientist Dr. Kafka felt he was the only man who could be trusted to receive his new human performance-enhancing vitamin DRKSP (literally, "Dr. Kafka's Special Potion"), a pill which would turn the person who took it into a superhuman being for a period of time. Garnett decided to adopt a masked identity to fight crime, becoming the Green Ghost. Sean used tricks to make criminals believe they were dealing with a supernatural being, playing on the psychology and fear of his enemies to his advantage. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

For an unspecified period of time after taking the vitamin DRKSP Garnett had superhuman strength. He wore a bulletproof green chainmail costume designed and created by Dr. Kafka. Kafka also improved a roadster for the Green Ghost.
