HISTORY 

Dr. Shannon Kane and her husband, Dr. Harry Kane, were a couple of scientists who worked at Eagle Industries developing projects for the United States Army. Basically, their work was divided into two parts: on the one hand, the search for applications for a new, extremely versatile polymer that they called Arachnium. In addition to having adhesive properties, being synthesized as a fiber, arachnium was tougher than Kevlar and as a filament it could withstand more tensile stress than steel. And on the other hand, they were developing a genetic enhancer that would turn normal soldiers into super-soldiers. Unfortunately, the lab was raided by mercenaries looking for the formula. Harry destroyed the files and managed to escape with a vial of the serum, though mortally wounded. He died in Shannon's arms, but not before injecting her with the formula. Shannon developed superhuman strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and heightened senses... And a thirst for revenge. 

Using the arachnium she made herself a skintight jumpsuit that would protect her. She also created a kind of bracelets with which to shoot the polymer in the form of a cable or as a web with which to catch her enemies. Thus the Spider Widow was born, but it would not be until her revenge was fulfilled that Shannon Kane would become the Spider Queen. Along the way, she found a partner and eventually a new love in the vigilante figure known as The Grim Reaper. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

Due to the genetic enhancer injected into her by her late husband, Shannon possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, and durability. She also possesses an accelerated healing factor. Her uniform made of arachnium is more resistant than Kevlar and offers her additional protection against physical damage. She devised an ingenious pair of special bracelets to store the arachnium to release later as needed (as a cable to swing between buildings or as a web to catch her enemies).

HISTORY 

When the Nazis occupied France, William's grandfather, for whom he is named, was studying at the Sorbonne, the famous university in Paris. He joined the French resistance to fight against Nazi tyranny under the code name The Grim Reaper. His calling card was the death tarot card. The Grim Reaper took his fight even behind enemy lines, in Germany and for some time, he became number one on the Gestapo's most wanted list. When the war ended, Will's grandfather returned to the United States, obtained a law degree, married, and founded Norris, Hughes & Francis Law Firm. He had a son, Rick, who went into medicine. Rick married Shannon and later William would be born. When William was only 11 years old, his parents took him to the cinema to see Batman (1989). Ironically, on the way back home, Rick and Shannon, Will's parents, were robbed and killed before the young boy's eyes. 

He was left in the custody of his grandfather, who has since trained him to become a fighter. Will graduated in criminology and law and then his grandfather, knowing the fire that had run through his veins since the murder of his parents, showed him something he had found many years ago in a castle that served as a gestapo headquarters in Germany: a gloomy shroud, the Tarnkappe, Sigmund's mythical cloak. According to legend, it gave inhuman strength and the ability to render its wearer invisible. "If you really want to do what I think you want to do, you're going to need this." With the help of his grandfather, he created the masked identity of The Grim Reaper and became the terror of the underworld. During his adventures, Will met Shannon Kane, another costumed adventurer nicknamed the Spider Queen. Shannon and Will fell in love and have been partners ever since. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

The Grim Reaper is an Olympic level athlete with extensive training in several styles of martial arts, and is adept at acrobatics, infiltration and criminology. Siegfried's Magic Cloak (Tarnkappe) gives William the strength of twelve men and the ability to turn invisible.
