HISTORY 

Dr. Travers, Harry's father, created an American champion, the artificial man named Yankee Doodle Jones. Harry became the Dandy and together the two joined the Secret Warriors, the Battle Squadron or the Crime Busters. They fought against the Nazis in WWII, against crime and supervillains on the streets of Dynamic City and shared many more adventures. Much later, Harry received the death touch of the Cyanide Cindy and Yankee Doodle Jones, seeing the life of his protégé in danger, sacrificed himself so that Harry could live. Harry's consciousness was transferred to Yankee Doodle Jones' android body. Paradoxically, doing so Harry became virtually immortal. Yankee Doodle Jones' mind also survived, in his case as a disembodied cyber-entity still giving advice to Harry. After a period of adaptation to his new body, Harry resumed his heroic career under the Liberty Man alias, helping found and fund the Young Heroes Alliance, establishing his base of operations at the Liberty Foundation Headquarters in Dynamic City. Liberty Man dated Tommie Reeves,  niece of Tommy Reeves (and heir to the Magic Marble).

Superhuman strength, speed and invulnerability. With the help of Yankee Doodle 2.0, he was able to add the ability to fly to his panoply of power.

HISTORY

At the start of World War II, three veterans who had been crippled during the Great War volunteered their lives to create a champion to defend the United States. Dr. Travers' artificial man came to life shortly after Nazi agents attacked the scientist's laboratory, fatally wounding him before the android himself and Harry, the scientist's son, stopped them. With his dying breath, Professor Travers named his creation Yankee Doodle Jones and begged Jones and his son to protect America. Harry became the Dandy, and the duo devoted their entire lives to fighting the Nazis. They were part of the Crime Busters, the Secret Warriors and the Battle Squadron. Much later, Dandy received a mortal wound and Jones gave him his synthetic body so that Harry could survive. Yankee Doodle Jones's mind also survived, in his case as a disembodied electronic entity advising Harry. 

POWERS & WEAPONS

Yankee Doodle's synthetic body possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and resistance to physical damage. His senses and bionic reflexes are also highly superior to humans. As an electronic entity, Jones is able to manifest as a hologram and control electronic devices. Thanks to the advent of the internet, his capabilities increased infinitely.
