HISTORY 

Jack Vale was chosen for his courage and unwavering willpower to be the bearer of The Eye of Khor, a jewel of power in a magical ring. Following in the footsteps of his ancestor Robert Vale, Jack dedicated himself to fighting crime as the vigilante Black Diamond. Jack had been in a relationship with a super villain twice, first with Lenore Franklin (aka Killer Plant) and then, in his maturity, with Bettie O'Hare, aka Miss Bunny. The second one reformed herself and became his wife.

The Eye of Khor gave Jack the ability to create anything his imagination was capable of conceiving. The ring also gave him super strength, invulnerability, super senses, the ability to heal others, fly, and some other abilities, always depending on Jack's willpower.
