HISTORY 

March, 1942. 

Hyram Speed was a police detective who was ambushed by gangsters, but was saved by a homeless German Shepherd. Hy adopted the animal and named it Rang-A-Tang. Rang turned out to be a brave, loyal and very talented dog, with practically human intelligence, the perfect partner in the fight against crime. 

And when the law wasn't enough, Speed donned a mask and became the Blue Ghost. The Blue Ghost was a member of the Liberty Guards and the Battle Squadron, always accompanied by the faithful Rang-A-Tang, the Wonder Dog.

Hyram was a good detective with a powerful right hook. Rang was a good tracker, smart enough to outwit human foes and fierce enough to fight off bears and wildcats.
