HISTORY 

Terry Britt was a brave police officer who was selected by the Council of Six (a secret organization that acted outside the law) to become their agent, their soldier in the war against crime and corruption that devastated Crown City. That's how Britt became the Gangbuster. Terry fought against gangsters, saboteurs and corrupt politicians and when World War II came, he joined a group of brave paranormals led by the Sentinel, the Protector of America, the Liberty Guards, to fight against the Nazi hordes and their Axis' allies.

HISTORY 

Bobby Wilson lost his father during World War I when his plane was shot down during the Battle of Saint-Mihiel, France. The boy idolized his late father and dreamed of flying. A higher power granted him both, as his father returned as a ghostly mentor and he was granted the gift of flying under his own power. Guided and advised by the ghost of his father, young Wilson used his powers to do good, always from anonymity, which earned him the nickname in the press of The Saving Spirit. The boy grew up doing good and became an airplane pilot. And when the golden age of paranormal heroes dawned, The Saving Spirit shined. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Bobby joined the other mystery men to form the Liberty Guards.

HISTORY 

William 'Wild Bill' Dunn was an American engineer who was with the British army in a remote area of Abyssinia (Ethiopia occupied by the Italians during World War II). His group was attacked by the M'bujies, a sect of native assassins working for the Italians. The M'bujies wounded Dunn and killed all of his companions. Dunn was rescued by Mick 'Boomerang' Jones, an Australian soldier to whom the same thing had happened. When Dunn was restored, he and Jones began making a super vehicle from scrap metal. When it was finished they called it the Blue Tracer and used it to end the M'bujies threat. Wild Bill was on the first Sentinel Liberty Guard team, the one that tried to stop the attack on Pearl Harbor...

HISTORY 

Kip Adams was a biochemist who developed a serum that increased his physical abilities beyond human limits. The United States was living in turbulent times and Kip decided to use his increased abilities for the common good, so he designed a uniform and some gadgets and embarked on adventure as the masked The Flame. The Flame collaborated with Susan Page, an intrepid journalist, forming a curious (yet typical in the world of capes) love triangle with her own secret identity as the third vertex. Kip served as a member of the second team of Liberty Guards during World War II. Unfortunately, The Flame was killed during a skirmish.

Larry Davis was a successful comedian. June Farrell, his girlfriend and manager, prepared a publicity stunt to further increase his popularity. Wearing a funny costume and a fake rubber nose, Larry would pretend to stop a fake robbery carried out by his assistant, Happy. However, on the chosen day, there was an actual robbery, and Larry managed to catch the criminal using a siphon bottle. Larry enjoyed his vigilante experience and told June and Happy that they won't reveal that he was the one who stopped the robbery. Larry became The Funnyman, Empire City's newest (and only) mystery man. When crime hits Empire City, Commissioner Harrigan lights up the Fun-Torch, located on the roof of the police headquarters... And the fun begins! 

But the fun ended the day Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Larry joined the Liberty Guards to stop the Acis Powers. But unfortunately, on this parallel world (Earth-164D), D-Day was a failure and World War II dragged on for decades.

When the Nazis invaded Poland, the young Baron Povalsky swore that he would not rest until he had freed his homeland from the yoke of the Axis forces. HISTORY

Lawrence Dawson spent his entire childhood suffering from a rare ailment that made his bones weak and brittle. As a result, Larry became introverted and rarely left the house. A couple of physicians, Drs. Boyle and Harrell, offered Dawson an experimental treatment, which worked even better than expected: Dawson found that he had gained stretching and contorting abilities. As a result of this, his personality took a 180 degree turn, he became jovial and crazy, and began a new life as a circus performer, under the alias of Plymo the Rubber Man. At the Dasterman Circus he met his fiancée, intrepid trapeze artist Dorothy Dixon. Everything was going perfectly, until Mr. Dasterman, the owner of the circus, became infatuated with Dorothy. Rejected, Dasterman was enraged and set several traps to kill the acrobat, but Plymo managed to save her and unmasked the stalker, bringing him to justice. This adventure made Larry want to become a crime fighter and that's how he became part of the Liberty Guards. HISTORY

Ted Dawson was a stranded cowboy in the Red Desert (Wyoming). When he was about to die of dehydration, a light fell from the sky. The light became a spaceship and a creature descended from it. The creature introduced itself as Kagah and offered Ted Dawson what appeared to be water. Dawson, desperate and on the verge of death, drank the water offered by the strange being and instantly fell unconscious. The next morning, Ted discovered that in addition to being perfectly fine, he had acquired super-human powers. Using his new abilities, Ted would become the superhero Red Flare. Red Flare joined the Sentinel and his Liberty Guards in trying to stop the attack on Pearl Harbor. Unfortunately they were unable to stop the Japanese attack and Red Flare was declared missing in action.

HISTORY 

Lawrence Mortimer Wolfe, also known as Skywolf, led a team of Allied pilots, the Wolfpack, during World War II. The members of the team (in addition to Skywolf himself) were: Cocky Roche, who was a Cockney; Judge, an Englishman rejected by the R.A.F. because of his advanced age; and the last member was Turtle, a Pole who had his tongue cut out by the Nazis and who communicated by tapping his head in Morse code. He had an ally in Mademoiselle Frisco, entertainer and double agent. The Wolfpack squadron flew specially modified aircraft according to the specific characteristics of each pilot and was a combat group so effective that Adolf Hitler himself was desperate to finish them off to the point of participating in a plan to capture them. Skywolf's archenemy was the Nazi cyborg Baron Von Tundra. The Wolfpack Squad was associated with the group of adventurers called the Liberty Guards. Unfortunately on this parallel world (Earth-164D), D-Day was a failure and World War II dragged on for decades. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

Wolfe was an excellent aviator and a skilled fighter, with his bare hands or various types of firearms. Furthermore, he was an accomplished polyglot and a born leader.

HISTORY 

Saul Rosen was for a time an illusionist using the alias "Solar, Master of Magic". But in reality he was the last in the lineage of the mythical King Solomon, and heir to the Seal of Solomon that gave him incredible magical powers. As the shadow of the Third Reich loomed over the world, the ring warned Rosen that it was time to use its powers for a higher purpose, and taking the name of his powerful ancestor, Saul Rosen crossed the Atlantic Ocean to fight against the forces of evil, embodied in the ruthless Nazis. Unfortunately in this parallel world (Earth-164D), D-Day was a failure and World War II dragged on for decades.

POWERS & WEAPONS 

Solomon's seal grants great magical abilities to Saul Rosen. By reciting his spell in ancient Hebrew, Rosen is able to produce virtually any effect he is capable of conceiving. He was even able to fight minor deities single-handedly, instantly teleport anywhere in the world, or summon mythological creatures that would do his bidding.

HISTORY 

Professor Colby Morgan was developing a suit that allowed its wearer to become invisible, but he was murdered by gangsters trying to get hold of the invention. His son Red, dressed in the suit created by his father, punished the guilty and since then put his strength and skill at the service of fighting crime. When changing from visible to invisible or vice versa, the suit produced an innocuous sparkling effect from which he was nicknamed 'the Sparkler'. Red was in Sentinel's first team of Liberty Guards, the ones who tried to stop the attack on Pearl Harbor and failed. Only Lady Liberty and Sentinel himself returned from that mission. 

The Sparkler was officially declared missing in the line of duty. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

The Sparkler, Red Morgan, wore a suit of light-resistant material that allowed him to completely disappear. He also carried a stun gun.
