Lily Flaherty was the capricious daughter of a Massachusetts smallholder some 300 years ago. It was said that a witch lived in the nearby woods and one day, for a bet, Lily went alone into the woods to steal a hair needle from her. The old witch surprised her in her cabin and cornered her. The old crone offered her the hair needle and when Lily extended her hand to take it, the witch jabbed her with it. At that moment the young Lily died and the vampire was born. She transformed into a creature of the night, the disciple of Lilith, the Mother of Demons. After feasting on the blood of her own family, she and Lilith traveled south to the lands of Florida and Georgia. In the swamps of Okefenokee they outwitted the Big Bad Wolf, a famous monster hunter (who was actually a lycanthrope) and murdered his two human collaborators (Zach Parker and Tim Blake), earning the hunter's eternal hatred. During the next three centuries the couple continued to sow evil and decadence, until the 20th century when they went separated ways. In the 80s, the relative of one of her victims placed a curse on Lily: The Blood Wail. Every death caused by her would become a terrible weight on her regained consciousness. This meant a turning point in her unlife, perhaps an open door to redemption...
POWERS & WEAPONS
Lily was transformed by Lilith, Mother of Demons, into a vampire. Her abilities are those of most vampires, with slight differences. She is stronger and faster than a normal human. Her senses are also superior. She is able to heal any wound she receives almost instantly (although fire, decapitation, a stake to the heart, or prolonged exposure to the sun can kill her). She is immune to aging (although she needs to consume blood or she will wither into decrepitude) and has the ability to fly.
