HISTORY 

Los Angeles California. Charles "Butch" Benton was a security guard who was falsely charged with theft of an armored car, and murder. He was judged, sentenced to the gas chamber and executed. His corpse was used in experimentation, with surprising results. His body regenerated, moreover, he was enhanced in the process, gaining inhuman strength and resistance to damage. Butch escaped the facility determined to get revenge on those who had framed him, starting with his attorney, Paul Lowe, who, in collusion with the real culprits, had betrayed him for money. Butch tried to contact his girlfriend, stripper Eve Martin, but she was involved with Detective Dick Chasen, the police officer who brought Butch to justice, and who was actually the leader of the plot. Benton fell into a trap, but using his new abilities he  defeated the conspirators. In the end, Butch managed to get attorney Lowe to confess to the plot to the police, thus clearing his name. Later he established himself as a celebrity bodyguard. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

After being revived, Butch displayed incredible strength and was immune to bullets and other projectile weapons. At one point, he was shot in the chest with a bazooka. The bazooka damaged him, but he survived the shot.

HISTORY 

Possum Holler was a small community in the Ozarks that counted among its citizens mermen, cavemen with three legs, people with three lungs, people hatched from eggs, centaurs, and many other genetic anomalies. It is believed that all these mutations were the product of something that had fallen from the sky a long, long time ago. In such a strange place, Barbara "Babe" Boone could almost have passed for an ordinary girl, were it not for her impossible levels of strength, endurance and speed. Her physical abilities were so superior, in fact, that she became a celebrity in several sports (baseball, football and boxing), competing (and winning) with male athletes. After an accident that had fatal consequences, she was banned for life as a professional athlete. After overcoming depression she established herself as a bounty hunter. 

Note: During her first stage as a sports star, Barbara had her own comic, in a comedy tone entitled "Babe the Amazon from the Ozarks".

POWERS & WEAPONS 

When Barbara first discovered her powers, she was able to rip out a stump with very little effort. She has enough strength to pick up a car and launch it with no discernible effort. Her body and tissues are much more resistant to physical damage compared to an ordinary human being. Stabs, bullets, even explosions will translate to only superficial wounds and these wounds will heal in record time thanks to her accelerated healing factor, an ability to heal faster and more effectively than the normal rate. Her speed, reflexes and reaction time are on a low superhuman level.
