HISTORY 

Los Angeles California. Charles "Butch" Benton was a security guard who was falsely charged with theft of an armored car, and murder. He was judged, sentenced to the gas chamber and executed. His corpse was used in experimentation, with surprising results. His body regenerated, moreover, he was enhanced in the process, gaining inhuman strength and resistance to damage. Butch escaped the facility determined to get revenge on those who had framed him, starting with his attorney, Paul Lowe, who, in collusion with the real culprits, had betrayed him for money. Butch tried to contact his girlfriend, stripper Eve Martin, but she was involved with Detective Dick Chasen, the police officer who brought Butch to justice, and who was actually the leader of the plot. Benton fell into a trap, but using his new abilities he  defeated the conspirators. In the end, Butch managed to get attorney Lowe to confess to the plot to the police, thus clearing his name. Later he established himself as a celebrity bodyguard.

After being revived, Butch displayed incredible strength and was immune to bullets and other projectile weapons. At one point, he was shot in the chest with a bazooka. The bazooka damaged him, but he survived the shot.

HISTORY 

Possum Holler was a small community in the Ozarks that counted among its citizens mermen, cavemen with three legs, people with three lungs, people hatched from eggs, centaurs, and many other genetic anomalies. It is believed that all these mutations were the product of something that had fallen from the sky a long, long time ago. In such a strange place, Barbara "Babe" Boone could almost have passed for an ordinary girl, were it not for her impossible levels of strength, endurance and speed. Her physical abilities were so superior, in fact, that she became a celebrity in several sports (baseball, football and boxing), competing (and winning) with male athletes. After an accident that had fatal consequences, she was banned for life as a professional athlete. After overcoming depression she established herself as a bounty hunter. 

Note: During her first stage as a sports star, Barbara had her own comic, in a comedy tone entitled "Babe the Amazon from the Ozarks".

POWERS & WEAPONS 

When Barbara first discovered her powers, she was able to rip out a stump with very little effort. She has enough strength to pick up a car and launch it with no discernible effort. Her body and tissues are much more resistant to physical damage compared to an ordinary human being. Stabs, bullets, even explosions will translate to only superficial wounds and these wounds will heal in record time thanks to her accelerated healing factor, an ability to heal faster and more effectively than the normal rate. Her speed, reflexes and reaction time are on a low superhuman level.

HISTORY 

Tom Dore was an American orphan raised in the Lha-I-Ha monastery in Tibet. The blond-haired, blue-eyed young Westerner soon showed unusual prowess as a student of the art of Gom-Pa. He passed the Potala trials and proved that his chi power rivaled that of the monastery's abbot himself, a monk over 300 years old. Tom eventually left Lha-I-Ha to track down the demon Ching Kai, who had possessed a monk to steal a sacred scroll with which he planned to bring humanity to its knees. After stopping Ching Kai and returning the scroll to the monastery, Tom decided to come back to America to investigate his roots and what really happened to his parents. There he met Butch Benton, the Indestructible Man, with whom he befriended. Tom and Butch became partners and collaborated with the super team known as Protectors Inc. Tom established a lasting romantic relationship with heroine and secret agent Torchy Brown.

Tom has been trained in Gom-Pa, an ancient Tibetan martial art based on focusing his "chi" to perform superhuman feats. He can become incredibly fast and strong, much more than a normal human being. HISTORY 

Zelda "Torchy" Brown was an attractive, brave and confident young African-American woman who left her home in Mississippi to pursue her dream of succeed on Broadway. But instead, Torchy ended up working at a small Harlem hospital as a nursing assistant. She soon got her nursing degree and began working closely with Dr. Paul Hammond. The young woman and the doctor fell in love, but a plague of poisonings in the community, caused by the corrupt company Fuller Chemicals, prevented them from enjoying the moment. Paul tried to find a cure while Torchy searched for evidence to unmask Fuller, but she was discovered and exposed to a massive dose of the poisonous substance. On the brink of death, Paul tested an experimental cure on the young woman. Fuller sent some goons to finish off Torchy and when Paul got between them and his girl, they killed him. Torchy miraculously recovered, having gained extraordinary light powers with which the young woman easily defeated the thugs and, after mourning her beloved, she exposed Fuller and their criminal methods to public opinion, becoming a heroine. Shortly after, Torchy was recruited and trained by DANGER to become an operative. Circumstances led Torchy and former yakuza assassin Madame Claw to begin collaborating and they eventually became good friends and partners.

HISTORY 

How terraqueus Bob Burke arrived at the desert planetoid is something that has not yet been clarified. What is known is that after seven years trapped in that inhospitable place with Gwud's only company (an ugly but friendly creature that followed him as a faithful dog), Burke began to suffer what he believed hallucinations due to his long and lonely exile in which a enormous hand asked him for help. After the visions the bellicose makkari came, a couple of them, looking for something or someone. One of them killed Gwud and full of anger the terraqueus killed him in revenge. The other tried to kill Robert, but a force beam of unknown origin ended the threat. The ship in which the Makkari had arrived took off and began to chase him while shooting him. But the pilot's impetus makes it crash before being able to reach Burke. Then Bob Burke found the origin of the force beam that had saved his life: a girl. Communicating telepathically, the little girl told him that her name was Teba and that she was the last of Planet Nevu's Regent House, destroyed by the Makkari. Koglok, the Makkari ship's pilot, who had survived the crash surprised them and when he was going to finish him with his blaster, another ray of psychic force from little Teba put the aggressor out of combat. Teba fell faint, but not before she mentally communicated the location of its space capsule to the terrestrial, who took her in his arms. Burke and Teba flew to the earth and he raised her like a father. And when the Makkari threatened their new home, the Princess of Nevu joined the heroes of the Earth to neutralize the threat.

Teba has notable psychic abilities that she can use for long periods of time before feeling fatigue. It is believed that psychic skills were something common to the Nevusian race. These skills include the ability to communicate telepathically, mental control, mental attacks, mental protection, personality alteration, erased and modification of memory, generate extremely convincing telepathic illusions and medium-low Level Telekinesis. Teba also has intelligence above the terrestrial average, highlighting in science. Burke took care that she received training as a fighter, to prepare her for a possible Invasion of the Makkari. In that aspect, It was very useful for her the extraordinary control over the autonomous function of her body that granted her her nevusian psychic abilities. Marla Drake was a wealthy socialite who decided it was a good idea to wear an African ceremonial outfit made of panther skin to a costume party, despite the warnings of Albino Jo, a famous adventurer and Marla's good friend. Along the way, the young woman ends up helping to capture Killer Dawson, a fugitive murderer. The press dubbed her "the Black Fury." Drake enjoyed the experience so much that she decided to continue wearing the panther outfit to fight crime. However, it is known that "for every favor obtained through black magic, two misfortunes must be received"...

Marla Drake wore a ceremonial demon panther outfit that enhanced her physical prowess to near-superhuman levels, including strength, speed, agility, stamina, senses, and reflexes. The costume was also equipped with retractable claws on the hands and feet. On the negative side, Marla had to use the disguise wisely since, as she was warned by her good friend, the Brazilian adventurer named Albino Joe: "for every favor gained through black magic, two misfortunes are obtained".

Madame Claw was an exceptional martial artist, one of the most dangerous women in the world. Her left hand had been replaced by a fully functional metal prosthesis that was also a powerful weapon: The impervium alloy claw was capable of piercing steel and concrete and could exert a pressure of up to 1.8 tons. Hidden in her hair were ivory darts ("the dragon's fangs") impregnated with poison that she was able to throw with precision. She was also an expert in the use of fiber wire and knives.

HISTORY 

Jean Starr was a combative assistant district attorney who often shared adventures with Robert Benton, also known as Fero the Terror. Her proactive attitude earned her the hatred of the criminal underworld, something that ultimately almost cost her her life. Only Bob's special formula injected directly into the young woman's heart was able to save her, but not without a fortunate side effect: Jean changed, she became bigger, stronger and tougher (luckily she did not become as "attractive" as Fero...). Since then she combines as best she can her work in the district attorney's office with the more direct fight against crime, calling herself Ms. Terror.

As a result of being injected with Bob Benton's special formula Jean Starr became a mutate with abilities similar to Fero. Jean Starr saw her physical form drastically altered, growing several centimeters and gaining a considerable amount of body mass. Unlike Bob Benton when he transforms into Fero, Jean retained all of her intelligence and personality. Jean Starr possesses immense super strength, almost to the level of Fero himself. Ms. Terror's leg muscles are strong enough to allow her to jump great distances. In addition to her strength, Ms. Terror possesses resistance to physical damage to a superhuman degree and her highly efficient physiology makes her immune to most diseases.

HISTORY 

There is a place in the far north of Greenland, a fjord hidden from the eyes of the world and the passage of time. An oasis of green forests and warm waters in the middle of a frozen immensity. In this extraordinary place is the town of Tine, founded in 1361 by Druil the Heroic. Druil and his people guarded the Golden Bow of Rolfe the Mighty, whose powerful magic protects Tine and its inhabitants, extending their lives seemingly indefinitely. Dara is the daughter of Druil, born in Tine under the influence of the Golden Bow and therefore endowed with great gifts that make her the champion of her people. However, the people of Tine live in eternal conflict with the pirates of Cyngar who desire possession of the Golden Bow to use it to plunder the entire world at will. Ford Robbins and Gene Dorn of the United States Air Force found Tine after their plane crashed in the North Atlantic. After Cyngar was defeated, Dara decided to accompany them back to the United States, where she became good friends with Thor's avatar and became part of the Fixers and Protectors Inc. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

Dara has several superhuman attributes, such as superhuman strength, superhuman speed or superhuman stamina. Dara's tissues have approximately 3 times the density of the body tissue of a normal human. As a result, she is much heavier than it seems and her greatest density contributes to her physical strength and durability. She is able to resist falls of large heights, exposure to extreme temperature and pressure, high caliber bullets and tremendous impact forces without suffering seriously injuries. If Dara became injured, her accelerated metabolism would allow her to regenerate damaged body tissue faster and more efficiently than a normal human being. Injuries such as sharp cuts and wounds can heal completely in a few hours and broken bones in a matter of days. However, she cannot regenerate a severed limb or a missing organ. Like all the inhabitants of Tine, Dara has extremely extended lifespan and ages at a much slower pace than that of an average human being. Thanks to being born under the influence of the Golden Bow, Dara does not need to remain in Tine to maintain his life and is able to venture into the outside world without problems. Dara has trained for combat for almost seven centuries and has shown an excellent skill in unarmed combat, with the sword and horse riding. Her natural fighting skill is insurmountable. 

PROTECTORS INC.

HISTORY 

Potectors Ltd. was a team of paranormals founded by Captain Wizard, Fero, Eelo and Mercury Man. In reality it was more of a temporary union of individuals than a team itself. Basically, one of the members would make an emergency call, they would get together, eliminate the threat and each one would go their separate ways. Some time later a second, larger team was formed, this time under the heading of The New Protectors formed by Dara of Tine, Doc Frost, Icarion, King The Ape-Man, Marla Drake, Paul "The Raven" Lerner, Princess Teba, Samson and Satán. The last iteration of the group consisted of Charles "Butcher" Benton and Thun-Dohr as founding members and they were joined by Tony "Midnight Mask" Colby and Barbara "Babe" Boone. This group was called Protectors Inc. and was a cross between a detective agency/security company.

HISTORY 

Paul Lerner was a wealthy industrialist happily married to his loving wife, Lenore. Medical negligence ended Lenore's life and Paul's life and sanity were shattered into a thousand pieces. Paul saw his personality split: By day he was the grieving widowed industrialist and by night he was the Raven, a brutal vigilante who first murdered the doctor guilty of his wife's death, then went on to take out criminals on the streets. He was stopped by the second Comet-Man and sent to a mental institution. Far from improving his psychological state, he ended up enrolled in the Clutching Hand. 

It wasn't until he crossed paths with Captain Wizard that he was able to purge his soul and restore his sanity. Since then he started a new life as a hero and a member of Protectors Inc..

Paul was in good physical shape, but in his first stage as a vigilante he had not yet received any type of training as a fighter and his effectiveness depended on the strength and brutality that his altered mental state gave him. The Raven's costume gave Paul some protection from gunshots and slashes, even small explosions. The wings of the uniform were designed to allow gliding between buildings.

HISTORY 

Anthony 'Tony' Colby was a district attorney who was about to lock up Olly Snate, a top mob boss. Colby was mugged in the middle of the trial by Snate's henchmen, who blinded him using acid. 

That might have been the end of the story, if a mysterious woman hadn't offered him the chance to undergo an experimental surgical procedure. The operation was successful, and Colby's eyesight was not only restored, but also improved, giving him perfect night vision. 

With the advantage that this new ability gave him and driven by the desire to do justice, Colby decided to become the crime fighter known as the Midnight Mask. Colby enlisted the help of Silk Davis, an (almost) reformed criminal; Butch, a muscular mechanic; and Carol Smith, the woman who helped him regain his sight.

Colby has perfect sight in the absence of light, similar to the owl, the bird of prey that inspires him. He has also trained hard to become the best fighter possible, with a dry and practical fighting style. His weapon of choice are his batons.
