HISTORY 

Neal Carruthers III was a wealthy young American sportsman who had an inexplicable ability to manipulate the time stream. Carruthers was bored enough to try putting this talent to use helping the police. Donning a tuxedo, a red cape, and a domino mask, he assumed the identity of Mister Midnite, leaving behind a calling card in the form of a watch dial with the hands set at midnight. Mr. Midnite obtained information through his friend, police commisioner J. C. Wade, who had no idea that Midnite was really Carruthers. In fact, the police chief disliked Mister Midnite because he made the police seem incompetent and inept by stopping crime without their help. Neal was member of the Crime Busters, the Battle Squadron and Young Heroes Alliance. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

His main power is chronokinesis (ability to manipulate the time stream). Neal could use this power on himself, project it over a large area of unspecified dimensions, or concentrate it onto a smaller area or object, such as another person. Aeronauthical engineer and WWI hero James Albright created a skin tight suit which allowed Midnite to glide on air currents. He created some other gadgets for Carruthers such as a projecting swing-line, blackout bombs and the doom-beam torch.

HISTORY

Raised in the mythic kingdom of Shambhala, the girl known as the Princess of the Moon was taught that she came from a long line of women who had been ferocious warriors in battle. No woman of her lineage have ever married a man unless he was a superior warrior to her. He was entrusted with the sacred mission of protecting the heir to the throne of Shambhala, the young Prince Mengu. Mengu was a restless young boy, who would end up escaping to the outside world in search of knowledge and adventures. Taking her family heirloom, a moonstone said to make the wearer invincible, Dinsana Devi left her home in search of her young ward, founding him in Gaines (USA), studying in Fox & Moldoff High School under the assumed name of "Lionel Manning". Dinsana created her own false identity, Claire De Lune, and found employment as a teacher at the same school. Prince Mengu then convinced her to fighting crime in her real identity. But the world would know her as the Moon Maiden, the Hunting Goddess! Moon Maiden has been a member of the Crime Busters and the Battle Squadron. Dinsana Devi and US Air Force Captain Steve Savage got married and had a child, Uma, better known in the future as Ms. Savage.

Besides she owns the moonstone which makes her even more formidable, protecting her from practically any physical damage and giving her the ability to fly. HISTORY

When a group of Alaskan miners began to die one after another from some kind of poisoning, the federal government sent scientist Hugh Goddard to investigate the causes. Goddard discovered that the radiation levels were terrifyingly high, lethal, but before he could send his conclusions, he was beaten nearly to death and left in an abandoned mine tunnel. Hugh managed to crawl out, but as he stepped out into the sunlight, he was horrified to discover that he couldn't see, the radiation had blinded him. However, during convalescence in the hospital, his friend Dr. Miller discovered that Hugh was not really blind, but that radioactivity had mutated his sense of sight, adapting it to situations in the absence of light. Miller and Goddard himself designed and manufactured a special visor that protected Hugh's eyes from intense light sources. Miller also helped his friend create Nightro's secret identity. On his first mission, Nightro went after Tollini and Hoag (engineer and foreman of the fateful mine), the men who tried to kill him. Since then, Hugh Goddard has pretended to be blind during the day, but when night falls he becomes a daredevil hero, a guardian angel.

Nightro could see in the dark and using his special visor with polarized lenses, also in full sunlight. He was in exceptional physical shape, a very capable fighter, and a tenacious hound. Sometimes his guide dog, Drum, accompanied him on missions.

HISTORY 

Young Martha Starr was caught in a fierce snowstorm. She managed to survive by taking refuge in a cave. There, she discovered an old man who, before fading away, gave her a newborn baby which he named Ann. Martha raised the baby girl as her own. As Ann grew older, she developed extraordinary powers and was contacted by Wonder Man, who explained her that she was originally from the 99th century, that her real name was An Kar, and that she was her cousin. Ann became the super-heroine nicknamed Super-Star and began righting wrongs (secretly supervised by her cousin). She has been member of the Crime Busters and the Young Heroes Alliance. 

Earth-164B: In order for her to gain experience, Wonder Man sent her to the future of the Inter-Space Justice Syndicate (37th century). During that time, she had an intense romance with her teammate Marv 01.2 Go+.

HISTORY

The Manowar was an android created centuries ago by a South American colony of survivors of Atlantis. The colony succumbed to internal conflicts and the android remained dormant. Some time later, Dr. Simms, an American archaeologist, was studying the remains of the colony when the excavation was attacked by Nazi forces who wanted to seize Simms' findings. The conflict aroused the Manowar who reduced the aggressors and decided to fight for America against the Axis Powers. He joined the Crime Busters first and then the Battle Squadron, the newspapers called him the White Streak. After the war he infiltrated the FBI, altering his face to appear more human, adopting the identity of Agent Dan Sanders. For a time, he operated as an ordinary FBI agent, wearing a three-piece suit and using his powers exclusively in secret. But sooner or later the White Streak will return.

White Streak's superpowers include super strength, invulnerability, flight, X-ray vision, and electromagnetic force beams. He could also use electromagnetism to attract or repel objects, or create protective force shields. He is also capable of altering his appearance at will (always within humanoid parameters).

HISTORY

Year 9852. The Humankind has all its needs covered by machines and the World Government has prohibited all scientific experimentation. Tum Par and Jan Kal are a pair of scientists who, clandestinely, study the time-continuum, discovering that the end of everything that exists is imminent. The couple tries to alert the World Government, but their warning is ignored and both are judged and convicted. The End of All Times arrives and, in a last act of hope, Tum Par and Jan Kar send their only son, Bud, back in time, to the 1930s, in the 20th century... The boy escapes through space and time in a capsule, which rematerializes and crashes in the heart of Chicago. He survived, but when he tries to explain his origin to the local police, he is unable to remember, and is committed to an orphanage. But when the forces of evil threatened truth, justice and the American way of life, Wonder Boy (as the newspapers called him) left the orphanage and confronted them, using the incredible superhuman abilities he possessed. Wonder Boy found a friend and an ally in Professor Benson, and a friend and later the love of his life in Sally, the professor's daughter. Bud, already as Wonder Man, joined the Crime Busters and soon after the Battle Squadron. After the war, Sally and him got married. Some time later Bud helped another survivor of the End of All Time, his cousin An Kar, also called Ann Starr (whom the whole world would know as Superstar) understand her true origin and her powers. 

Earth-164B: During one of his adventures, young Bud get lost in Space-time, landing in the year 3680, where he shared adventures with Marv 01.2 GO +, the super-boy of the 37th century, both being part of the Inter-space Justice Syndicate.

Faster than a locomotive, more powerful than a cannonball, able to travel from one city to another in a single jump... His powers increased over the years. HISTORY

When young police officer Gary Kennedy and his brother were gunned down by a gang of criminals, Gary's last words were: 

“I'll square this if I have to return from the grave! 

As Heaven is my witness!” 

Several nights later, at midnight, Kennedy returned from the grave as a ghost, and after fulfilling his vengeful vow he continued to rise from his grave to mete out justice to wrongdoers on behalf of the dead victims, whose souls begged him to act as the Wraith. Gary Kennedy was a Crime Busters member and during World War II he was also part of the Battle Squadron.

The Wraith possessed the ghostly powers of invisibility and intangibility. He could also fly and when he manifested in solid form, he had superhuman strength. Additionally, the Wraith could possess other people's bodies at will. The activities of The Wraith were limited in time. He couldn't get up from his grave until midnight and he had to return to that grave by dawn or he would vanish.

HISTORY

At the start of World War II, three veterans who had been crippled during the Great War volunteered their lives to create a champion to defend the United States. Dr. Travers' artificial man came to life shortly after Nazi agents attacked the scientist's laboratory, fatally wounding him before the android himself and Harry, the scientist's son, stopped them. With his dying breath, Professor Travers named his creation Yankee Doodle Jones and begged Jones and his son to protect America. Harry became the Dandy, and the duo devoted their entire lives to fighting the Nazis. They were part of the Crime Busters, the Secret Warriors and the Battle Squadron. Much later, Dandy received a mortal wound and Jones gave him his synthetic body so that Harry could survive. Yankee Doodle Jones's mind also survived, in his case as a disembodied electronic entity advising Harry.

Yankee Doodle's synthetic body possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and resistance to physical damage. His senses and bionic reflexes are also highly superior to humans. As an electronic entity, Jones is able to manifest as a hologram and control electronic devices. Thanks to the advent of the internet, his capabilities increased infinitely.
