Shorty Wilson, a retied pro football players decided it was time to “turn the heat on the Underworld,” to do this he takes the nom de plume of The Black Dwarf, dons a wide brimmed gaucho hat, a monk’s robe, a red lined cape, and picks up a pair of .45 automatics and three companions consisting of Nitro an explosives specialist, Fly a second-story man, and his deadly girl friend Arsenic and starts handing out a stark brand of justice.

Few foes survive an encounter with the black garbed vigilante and his three cohorts.

At the beginning of his mystery man career Shorty had the strength and athletic capacity of a professional football player. He was a devilish fighter and used firearms with enough expertise. HISTORY 

Tommy Reeves was a boy like any other living in the American town of Gleason. When his mother grounded him for playing marbles in the street, Tommy went exploring in the basement of his house. There he found a marble containing a “Djinni.” The Djinni’s secret name was Qareen which means “companion.” Together they solved many mysteries and were members of the group of heroes called the Crime Busters. And when President Roosevelt decided to form a unit with all heroes with special abilities to fight the Axis forces during World War II, Tommy and his magical companion also joined the great coalition of American heroes, the Battle Squadron. Much later, the marble and the genie were inherited by Tommy’s niece, young Tommie Reeves. Tommie met Harry Travers, the Liberty Man (formerly known as the Dandy and former comrade of his uncle Tommy), and the two began dating.

The magic marble can summon a genie who grants Tommy anything he wishes for. The genie gave him a magic wand, but since Tommy was still young and inexperienced, the genie had to help his young master anyway, so the magic wand was soon thrown away.

HISTORY 

Ian Heath, the Iron Corporal, was the son of an American steel magnate. Ian served as a volunteer in the Australian Army during World War II. He was known as the "Iron Corporal" as his ribcage had to be replaced with an artificial one, the original having been pulverized in a brutal assault that took place just before he became involved in the war. After the war, Ian was recruited by DANGER (Defense ★ Advanced ★ Network for ★ Geostrategic ★ Emergency ★ Response) the secret organization of the US government and later was in charge of gathering the Ultimate Super Agents (USA).

His chest was practically impenetrable, which gave him greater safety in the line of fire. It was flexible like a watch strap, and was built to the point where he could run, jump, and do everything as before, except float in water. He was told from the beginning that if he went into water up to his head, he would sink like a stone. Heath was also an above-average fighter, both with and without weapons, and a skilled tactician.

HISTORY 

In a small valley hidden in the Equatorial Guinea jungles there was a lost city, Upuaut. The city was founded centuries ago by light skinned egyptians. The women of this lineage possessed strange powers that they transmitted to their descendants. This minority easily subjugated the natives, who possessed a less advanced culture and used them as slave labor to build the city and later as servants and soldiers. In the twentieth century the city remained hidden to the eyes of the outside world, but the ruling minority of Egyptian origin had been diminishing and degrading throught the centuries because of consanguineity. Their last representative was Sharu, who possessed the paranormal ability to dominate mandrills with her mind. A slave rebellion made her leave Upuaut to save her life. Hiding on a freighter with several of her mandrills, she managed to sneak into the United States, where she became a new threat to paranormal heroes.

Sharu was not a threat on a physical level, but thanks to her complete psychic control over the mandrills she was capable of putting the security forces of any state in serious trouble. As they say, only a paranormal can stop another paranormal.

HISTORY 

When Professor Charles Townsen managed to perfect a formula to transmute any substance into gold, his colleague, Professor Aleksander Kryn, uses a paralyzing gun to incapacitate the professor and steal the formula for his own purposes. Kryn proves the formula transmuting several objects into gold. By accident, he permeates his hand with the substance and when trying to clean it, he discovers that he has acquired the ability to convert any substance into gold. In a short time his whole body has become organic gold. While experimenting with its new physionomy and powers, Kryn accidentally causes one of the laboratory burners to cause a fire. Professor Townsen dies in the fire, but Kryn, turned into liquid gold manages to survive. Kryn then decides to use his powers for his own benefit, becoming a notorious criminal.

As a result of the mutation caused by the formula, Kryn has a very particular, unique physionomy. His physical form is made of organic gold and is stronger and more resistant to physical damage than a normal human being. He doesn't need to eat or sleep. He is tremendously malleable, being able to adopt any form that Kryn wants. He is also able to acquire a normal human appearance (not golden) but it causes great stress on him, which he usually considers unnecessary (in his own words "my gold form is more perfect and beautiful"). But his main power is his "Midas Touch", for which he is able to convert anything he touches into pure gold.

Simon Binder was a young taxi driver in NYC who had great driving skills. His driving skills caught the attention of Mr. Chandra Swamy, an eccentric millionaire who enjoyed building racing cars. Mr. Swamy's best racing car, the Silver Streak, became a target for someone or something, because every time someone drove it, that person was killed. Because of this added danger no one wanted to pilot it, except Simon. Unfortunately, as expected, he was also murdered, but Mr. Swamy managed to bring him back to life thanks to a "secret fluid." His resurrection had an unexpected side effect: Simon Binder gained the paranormal ability to move at superhuman speed. This is how Simon Binder, taking the name of the prototype (Silver Streak) became a costumed hero. 

Note: Silver Streak's powers can be transferred to others through blood transfusions. This was how his teenage sidekick, Mickey O'Toole AKA Meteor Boy, received his powers.

The Hawk People of the Planet Malaj possess several gifts that distinguish them from normal humans, such as enhanced senses, increased durability, increased stamina and resistance to pain, increased strength, and a significantly longer lifespan than a normal human. (about three times more than the average human). Although the most significant (and obvious) are the two large wings (similar to those of the Earth birds) that they possess and that help them move with great speed and maneuverability through the skies. Falkar is an expert in hand-to-hand combat and a master in the use of the sword. So great is his skill with this noble weapon, that he is able to use it to defeat an enemy without killing him.

The life of 14-year-old boy Bobby Sanders changed forever the day a tornado hit his hometown of Windy Gap and leveled the family farm, leaving Bobby the only survivor with no memory of anything that happened*. With nothing and no one to tie him to that place, young Bob dedicated himself to traveling from state to state, learning to use his new skills and helping everyone in need. The Twister can create tornadoes and twisters with destructive winds. He can project F5 tornadoes from each arm. It is said that its winds knock down a building in seconds. He is also able to deflect incoming objects with ease. By channeling these cyclonic force winds through his lower body, he can fly at incredible speeds or hover in one place.

Roy "Shark" Brodie was a sailor who worked as a soldier of fortune, fighting anyone from one end of the Pacific Ocean to the other, in exchange for good pay. And he fought and made his fortune, but he who lives by the sword ends up dying by the sword. However, floating half dead in the middle of the ocean, Roy was saved by Father Neptune, a mysterious old man with paranormal abilities, abilities that he transmitted to Roy, whom he turned into his agent, a protector of the marine world and all its creatures. And when the United States entered World War II, Shark joined the grand coalition of paranormal heroes they called the Battle Squadron.

Father Neptune gave Roy paranormal abilities to live underwater. He increased his strength, stamina, and ability to regenerate. He made his lungs able to extract oxygen from the water. He transformed his hands and feet, making them webbed. He also gave him other abilities, psychic abilities, like hypnotism or projecting illusions. Father Neptune also gave him a weapon, a knife, thanks to which Roy had control over water and the ability to teleport through it.

Private detective Terry Gardner, a former Marine sergeant and former wrestling champion, was investigating the disappearance of a man named Wilmer. Wilmer in turn was pursued by two hired assassins, Maxim and Nada, who sow chaos and death wherever they go. One of the couple's victims is a gypsy whose pet parrot named Snoop is adopted by Terry. The bird has a habit of saying strange phrases, for example "The Timberwolf will be the Master of the Twilight." However, Gardner thinks about this phrase and, inspired by the emergence of paranormal heroes, decides to become one, the Twilight Timberwolf.

The Arrow is actually Ralph Payne, a military intelligence agent who, frustrated by enemy espionage and rampant crime, adopted the costumed identity of Arrow to use his archery skills to fight crime and the enemies of freedom in a way his other self never could. The Arrow is remembered for being the first American mystery man to use archery as a primary trick. He was member of the Secret Warriors and the Battle Squadron during WWII.

HISTORY 

The Shape was originally an artificial life form created by Professor Scuba by exposing a protoplasmic mass made of special chemicals to an ultraionized hyperluminic beam. However, it was Kevin Boyd, Scuba's careless laboratory assistant, who accidentally caused that protoplasm to gain consciousness. At first his mind was similar to that of a small child, but he soon evolved into a crazy teenager, perhaps because of the bond created with young Boyd. Together they lived many adventures and The Shape became part of the Crime Smashers, the most famous team of paranormal heroes. Using his ability to change shape and appearance, the Shape was able to create an alter-ego, Roy Richards, private investigator.

The Shape's powers derive from his physiology, being an artificial life form created by Professor Scuba. The Shape possesses complete control over its physical structure, being able to alter its mass and constitution at will. There seems to be no limit to the sizes and shapes he can take. The only limitation he has concerns color, which he cannot change without intense concentration, so he generally sticks to his basic scheme (black, yellow and white, plus his artificial skin tone). Z is an android built specifically to face top-level superhumans, a perfectly designed fighting machine. However, Z has suffered defeat after defeat following its creation.
